If the Chinese could do it so can we
They put their country to halt to save a very small amount of them
We all judged it extreme
And yet here we are
Following the lead
Because there is no alternative
It’s the only moral thing to do
We probably didn’t understand that then
Did we change
Or is it characteristic of our humanity
To try to save each other in time of crisis
Will we put our planet first
After the blow and our lessons learned
